The way she writes makes you second guess and think about what she is writing about. She manipulated her words into making them seem sweet even though she is talking about trauma. Trauma in which sadly most women will experience in their lifetimes. Reading this book left me feeling nothing short of empowered and I would recommend it to any young woman. Her writing as I would put it is pure, raw, and simply amazing. Can’t wait to read The Sun and Her Flowers.

This is a book full of poetry and some prose. It talks about trauma, abuse, relationships, feminism, etc. I found it fascinating, but, I would recommend her other book over it, “the sun and her flowers”. After reading this one, get the other.
